"The Penelope and Odysseus"

Item # OBSTEF41

This is a lovely Stefana set named The Penelope & Odysseus. They are reminiscence of days gone by. White organza ribbon and wax orange blossoms are surrounding the Greek Crowns. They measure inside  circumference 20 inches. The connecting ribbon is 48 inches in length.

Named after Penelope and Odysseus the characters in the Odyssey. Penelope was a very faithful wife towards her husband Odysseus. Odysseus was away for twenty years fighting in the Trojan War. While he was gone Penelope had many suitors trying to marry her. Penelope put off her suitors for so long that upon Odysseus return she was skeptical of Odysseus. Was it really him? They were reunited when he reveled to her their secret of their wedding bed.
