Victorians had many special ways of of displaying the things they cherished. Here you find a wedding memory box. It contains the names, photos, headpiece and boutonnières. I am not sure what is written in the side notes because the are in German and I do not speak German. The names and flowers are quilled embellishments. Quilling is done by twisting small pieces of paper with a quilling tool to create beautiful designs.
Another example of a Victorian Wedding Shadowbox. This is quite common of a keepsake you will find in the Victorian Shadowbox Frames. They used these frames frequently to display keepsake for Weddings, Friendship, Funerals, etc.
